Advances in Emergency Medicine:

 

                Advances in standard of care for emergencies in Veterinary medicine have reached us here in the Cumberland Valley. A new emergency facility recently opened on Maugans Avenue in Hagerstown MD. This facility and the emergency clinic in Mechanicsburg bring an emergency facility within forty minutes of most of our clients. The advanced equipment, specialized staff and overnight attendance provide a standard of care for nighttime emergencies previously not available in this area.

                Shippensburg Animal Hospital PC will continue to provide after hours service to our regular clients until midnight each night and again beginning at 5:00 A.M. Should your pet become critically ill after regular business hours, please call the hospital immediately. When a doctor is not immediately available you may be advised to seek medical care at one of the emergency clinics. Most of the patients we see after hours are not critically ill and we will continue to provide the same level of service after hours that you have grown accustomed to, but in those situations when immediate and ongoing critical care are necessary we now have two area emergency clinics that may help save your pet’s life.
